Outdoor Wireless Security Camera FHD 1080P

I have had the camera for just over two weeks and have done a lot of experimentation with the android app and windows software. I will also point out that readers should beware that the seller offers an incentive for Amazon reviews (Micro SD card).Pro’s:Good quality build.Easy to access the SD card slot.Good sharp picture.Price.Con’s:Lack of ball joint on the wall fitting means it may be somewhat difficult to fit and align up in some cases.Short power supply lead.Large connector on end of camera lead.Some readers may be concerned about security of data/information that disappears into the Chinese servers.Files that are saved on the SD card and visible on the App don’t appear on the windows application and vice versa. This implies that either the two cannot run together or there is a software issue between the two.Lack of information on both the App and windows programme. Links from the programme/App to help pages don’t work.Sensitivity settings don’t seem to make much difference.Don’t expect a response from their support email, I’ve been waiting weeks for answers to several questions.I will be installing a second camera but it will not be this manufacturers. Not recommended purely because the negatives outweigh the positives.

This is the second CHORTAU Outdoor Wireless Security Camera FHD 1080P, Waterproof WiFi IP Camera that I have purchased. Bought the first one checked it was a good camera and bought the second one about a week later .After reading lots of reviews of lots of cameras, I chose this one. I found the reviews very useful in choosing a camera and so decided to add mine. This is a well made camera, with a metal body and brackets. The tools for setting up are supplied, a screwdriver and an allen key. The screwdriver is not for fitting the camera bracket, it's for opening a cover to fit the micro SD card. There is no card with the camera, as you would expect.I could see on some reviews, of other cameras, that the camera body has to be removed to fit the SD card. On this camera, it is just a small cover, held on with two pozi-drive type machine screws. I'm not the best at setting these sorts of things up but found it fairly easy. It has a good field of vision and a clear picture. I can very easily, live monitor the camera from my smart phone or laptop. The cloud option for the software is quite expensive at $4.99 per month and I won't be taking up the option. I'm not sure it is $4.99 per camera or per user. I suppose if it was per user and you had a few cameras, the value would be OK. I would definitely recommend buying the 2019 New Version CHORTAU Outdoor Wireless Security Camera FHD 1080P, Waterproof WiFi IP Camera.

A very nice camera. Easy to set up. Connects straight to the wifi. There's a app you can download on you mobile so you can view the output and recordings any where in the world. It can be a bit flaky sometimes connecting but that's only because it's quite a long way from the router and not a camera problem. Could do with a mahoosive Ethernet cable and that would sort it. Excellent picture quality and coverage. Your need to buy a separate memory card but there's some great offer around. Night vision is good but obviously the picture quality is reduced. I noticed in some of the review that it picks up sound. I think the reviews are from several different cameras as this one definitely doesn't have sound capabilities but I'm very impressed with it anyway.

The fish eye lens captures a large are in great detail,and the zoom quality is very high.it took a couple of days before the sd card performed reliably,but it has now done so for several weeks without any issues.i have the camera a long way from the router,so I used an ethernet connection via a home plug rather than wifi and have therefore not esperienced any connectivity problems.the night vision quality is the best I have ever seen on a domestic security-a slight quibble would be the motion detection,which has to be set on high-the medium setting does not pick up some motion at a distance,so I get to record a lot of moths at night.

First impressions were that this was a quality product. It is not flimsy plastic it appears to be well engineered. Picture quality is good, night vision is good, motion detection is very sensitive to wind blown bushes etc.But, and it's a massive but, the thing is out of action more times than it actually works."The camera is offline" Why? I've not switched it off."Building an encrypted channel" OK then build it, yawn....wait....yawn some more........make a coffee, fall asleep nope, not finished. Ad infinitum"The network seem not very good" WTF every other device in the home connects just fine and most at the same distance or greater from the router, even a TV two floors up.Rebooted, re-installed [a pain in the rear end] OK lets go .........."building an encrypted channel" Yes again.I have come to the conclusion its the actual software, the app on the phone, it's just totally unreliable.I've left the camera mounted in it's pace [it looks the part] but at the moment it's just a very smart looking ornament.I am hoping to find some better software to run the thing.

Product is rubbish after very short time lost connection on line and would not reconnect definitely would not buy again much betterOnes on market with back up

Cannot narrow field of vision without physically moving the camera. Cat5 cable and power plug far to large. I needed to make a hole 2" x1" through a nine inch wall.

Fantastic camera, best night vision quality. Able to zoom in & record if you need to. This camera version has no sound or two way sound, but the vision and view angle is great. You will need to purchase a memory card for this to enable saved recordings. A TM card is actually an SD memory card and we have found the 132gb memory card does the job perfectly.
