17 by 14 by 5-Inch Recyclable Plastic Manual Cat Litter Sifter, Bone

I have 5 cats and I love this product. I don't use it in the conventional way my litterboxes are too large for it but it is great when I am doing a major clean on the boxes. I put it over the wastebasket, pour the litter through it and poof - all done.

It is near impossible to get this to stay above the litter. In the box I tried using it in, there was at least 3/4" litter under the sifter, even though the box I was using it in was bigger by at least an inch on all sides. Very small clumps (some fecal material) easily fell through the larger "paw" holes, so I also still had to scoop.Additionally, believe the repeated mentions of other purchasers who said they used this item in tandem with two boxes so they wouldn't have to try to get it under the litter - they simply alternated between two boxes. That's because this is an ineffective product. If I wasn't outside of my window to return this item I would be sending it back. It does not perform as expected, or even as useful in any way.Very disappointing product.

This is the sifting tray that you could put in the bottom of a litter box and sifted out each day. We chose to use this in an empty separate litter box and pour the dirty litter into it then sift it out and put it in a bag. Then we dump the sifted litter from the second litter box back into the original one the cats use. We do this because we read reports that if this is kept in your main litter box, it can get urine underneath it and maybe not work as well so this is why we are doing a two litter box approach.My only issue with this is that the sifting holes are a little bit bigger than a hand sifter that you would use. This allows smaller pieces to escape through the holes. I think this is something that should be addressed and fixed. Also instead of using shapes that are kind of round only use maybe any long gated sifting hole just like the hands coopers have in them to trap smaller pieces.

Great idea but it is very hard to get the sifter back in the litter. You have to empty the litter into another box, add the sifter then pour the litter back again. I'm thinking scooping is just as easy.

I bought this to replace a litter sifter I have had for 10 + years. I am not as pleased with this product as the holes, while cute little paw prints, are to large and let small pieces of feces through. The suggested use is not very practical. I have an extra litter pan that I put the sifter in, pour the used litter into the sifter then shake it gently while lifting it. I do not leave it in the bottom of the currently in use litter pan.

Makes cleaning the litter box so much faster. I set this into an extra litter box and pour the dirty one into it. I don't even try to leave this in the box. My only complaint is that the holes are a bit too large and the occasional small piece falls through. I use it with World's Best Cat Litter Multiple Cat Clumping Formula and there is almost no dust at all. The task of cleaning multiple boxes has went from a 10 minute job to a 2 minute job.

comes up easy but wont go back down. dont waste time or money.

I use this along with a litter pan that is slightly bigger for my rabbits potty/hay box, works great. Well made and priced right. I now own two of them.
