Best Temperature Monitor For Your Fridge and Freezer
I purchased this to monitor the temperatures in my Frigidaire refrigerator as I had an episode where items in the refrigerator (i.e. cans of water and a steak) were frozen and items in the freezer (i.e. fudge pops) were partially thawed and I was concerned my refrigerator was malfunctioning. The installation was straight forward with the unit coming to life immediately after installing the batteries in the 2 sensors and the base unit. Each sensor requires two AA batteries and the base unit unit requires three AA batteries. A total of 7 AA batteries are required. I installed Lithium batteries in the sensors as they have a broader operating temp range than alkaline batteries (i.e. good down to -63F). The base unit provides min and max temps in a 24 hour period which is quite informative. The base unit has magnets if you want to attach it to the exterior of the fridge or a pop up stand if you want to place it on top of your fridge, or it can be mounted on a wall. Very convenient. The only down side is that the suction cups for the sensors don't work. The suction cups popped off the wall of the refrigerator and freezer so I just have the sensors laying flat on the shelf. The unit is well worth the money I paid for it and I highly recommend it. In my case I set the temperature setting for the refrigerator to a higher setting and made sure the fr4eezer door was not left inadvertently open with temperatures confirmed by the Acu-Rite monitor as -1 F for the freezer and +37 F for the refrigerator. Perfect.

Good product at the price point.
Exactly as advertised, works great, we are getting more power outages then in the past 30 years so this is great tool to keep the fridge and freezer in safe zones. No batteries included, I like that, fresh batteries instead of cheaper junk.

Does Its Job
First, I want to correct a statement in another review about the display not sticking to the refrigerator. I find that it sticks very nicely. Perhaps it would not work on the door because of the vibration of opening and closing, but the magnets are plenty strong enough to hold it in place on the side. When I first received the unit and got it set up, I put both transmitters next to each other in the refrigerator so that I could get an idea of the accuracy. I also have a very accurate Govee sensor for reference. A nice thing about the AcuRite unit is that it allows one to make calibration adjustments (which I did for one of the sensors, which was perhaps one degree Fahrenheit off). In short, the accuracy of my units was entirely adequate, especially with the ability to calibrate.I do wish that it had at least a BlueTooth facility so that one could get warnings on one's phone. Even better would be a WiFi connection so that one could get warnings no matter one's location. In my case, the Govee sensor in the refrigerator provides that service adequately. One other comment: I wish that the product description included the information that the freezer sensor needs Li batteries in order to work at the very low temperature. Had I know that when I ordered the AcuRite unit, I would have ordered the batteries at the same time. (This problem was mimimized because Amazon was able to deliver the batteries on the same day, and I had the unit up and running the next day.)

Works better than any other fridge/freezer alarms I have tried, with 3 separate channels
I have tried at least 4 different fridge/freezer alarms over the past 6 years since our fridge died in the middle of the night and we lost a whole bunch of food that spoiled before we realized that the compressor was no longer working. This is the only sensor/alarm that has not given any false alarms (nothing like being woken up in the middle of the night for a false alarm). It is also the only one that has not had any communication drop-outs.But the biggest positive for me is that you can set each sensor and each base unit on one of 3 frequencies. So, you can have three base units with two sensors each and each of them will be separate and will not interfere. So, you set two sensors and one base to channel A and two more sensors and the second base to channel B and the last two sensors and the third base to channel C. No other sensor/alarm that I have purchased worked this way. All additional sensors and base stations were on the same channel and would interfere with each other. So, if you need to monitor more than one unit (we have a main fridge, a garage fridge and a chest freezer) then you can buy multiple units and monitor up to 6 separate devices. Also, the sensors for the white premium unit (00523M) and the silver premium units (00515M) are interchangeable. The base units are the same, just different colors.

Who knew there was such a wide spread of temps in my fridge / freezer?
Love this. I used to have an indoor-outdoor thermometer in my fridge, with the “outdoor” sensor in the freezer, but I placed this one on top of my fridge with the sensors inside, and now I can more easily monitor the current temps and the highs and lows. Which was a surprise, since the refrigerator varies from 31 to 42 degrees, and the freezer varies from -5 to 10 degrees. I leave the display on 24 Hours, which resets highs and lows daily. It also tracks All-Time highs and lows, which might be good to track temps during a longer power outage.

Gives you peace of mind
I bought this for our new fridge after having temperature issues with our old one.Easy to set up and started working right away. Seems accurate as temps match the internal thermometers.I set the alarm with a lower maximum temperature to test it, and the alarm went off and was loud. This gives me peace of mind without having to open the doors to let the cold out while checking internal thermometers.Plan on buying another for the one in the garage.
