Dreamaway Comfort Fill Mattress Protector, Twin

I got the mattress pad in today, and when I first opened the package, I was a little disappointed. Maybe 1/4" of loft? How is this as plush as any of these positive reviews have stated?? So, I threw it in the washer on the "Gentle" cycle (I wash everything), and dried it on the "Low" setting with the timer option (30 mins I think). Came out clean and dry, and intact. The part that you pull down over the mattress is indeed a stretchy fabric that sort of looks like a thin jersey. Awesome! However, the backing is that weird paper-fabric stuff. It washed okay, but this is absolutely the worst thing about this product, and if it's going to fail anywhere, that'll be it. I mean.. why use real fabric for everything else and skimp on this? Bizarre.On the plus side, after it washed and dried, it gained some more loft and looks a lot more plush than before :)So.. we'll play this by ear, and I will update on how it holds up. For the price? It's better so far than everything I saw at WM.

I bought this for my son's bed at home in Sept. 2014. He is away at college and only home for about 7-8 weeks throughout the year, so this product has gotten very little "sleeping" use. When this mattress pad first arrived, I was very impressed. It was plush, very comfortable, and it fit the mattress perfectly. I am very careful to follow the washing and drying instructions, and the first time I washed, it came out fine. However, even with very little use and careful washing, it began to fall apart after the second wash. The backing is a very thin material that tears at the seams, and as a result, the fiberfill starts to separate and fall apart. As you can see from the product picture, there are many seams which divide the pad into little squares, and the backing is tearing at those seams in multiple places. If you plan on washing your bedding, I would not recommend this mattress protector. It would be a great product if the backing material was a better quality. I didn't keep the packaging or receipt, but I am going to look into the manufacturers warranty.

Bought this for a toddlers first bed. I wanted it for some added protection and to add a little softness to the mattress. This pad succeeds on both those levels. It covers the mattress well and seems that it would give reasonable protection against a minor spill or accident. As far as softness the pad does definetly makes the mattress a bit more comfortable. But we're not talking pillow top or memory foam here just a bit more comfort than a pad less mattress. So keep expectations on check and you'll enjoy this pad.

This would get five stars if it was waterproof. It makes the already comfortable bed a peice of heaven! Like sleeping on a cloud.Edited dec 2015 to add: I changed it to 5 stars because it is still in good shape. It stays on my son's bed and gets washed often (I just throw it in the washer and dryer). It stays on the bed pretty good, when his sheet is a tangled mess from his tossing and turning this pillow mat is still in place.

Very thin layer of padding/plush. Good coverage over the entire mattress, cheap, easy way to slightly fluff an old mattress.

The pad is okay. I did expect a bit more padding, but I guess you get what you paid for.

Nothing special here ...

Bought this for my father, who had a new mattress that was great but stitched in a way not comfortable for him. He loves the feel of the top and the elastic which holds it in place so it doesn't slide around.
