This was my original review when I didn't follow instructions exactly. Learn from my mistake: It has a sort of chrome effect if used on gel (non-UV non-no-wipe) polish so that it actually sticks and then you rub your finger over it like they tell you to but if a top coat of any kind is used then it turns back to fine glitter instead of chrome. And if you don't use a top coat it only lasts less than a day and washes or wears right off. Still pretty but not what they say it would be or what I wanted it to beNew UPDATED review: the first polish I used was gel polish (Essie) that didn't need UV light. I didn't follow the directions exactly by using a "no-wipe" gel polish which does require a UV light. So I found this Red Carpet Insta-Chrome "no-wipe" (whatever that means) Gel and took a chance with a regular UV LED light bulb that screws into a light socket. It actually worked though it took 5 mins each layer which is fine by me! I finally had success and I'm so happy!! The only bad thing I can say is that the picture of this Mermaid powder shows more of a pink, blue, purple but it's actually green, pink, yellow. I wish it was more like the advertised pic but it's still very pretty. If I remember I will come back with an update on durability...

It's exactly what I was looking for ! . Lots of product and it came with instructions and little brushes for application. 1 coat of uv nail polish for 60sec ( lamp light) and then add the chrome and applied another coat uv and used lamp again 60 sec.

The media could not be loaded. I love this chrome powder. I’ve been restocking on this chrome for the past 2 years at my salon. This chrome doesn’t chip or fade. I typically apply this product using the pad of my finger or a makeup applicator. The chrome has a buttery texture which makes it easy to apply. I highly recommend this product!

Love this powder! Super easy to use and it's like magic when after applying this sparkly powder, you rub it with your finger and it turns into chrome. The "mermaid effect" looks more obvious in bright light, as seen in one of my photos where I used the flash. In regular lighting it looks like a beautiful white chrome with very subtle mermaid effect. I included another photo without the flash, but it doesnt capture how pretty it is even in regular lighting.I used regular nail polish instead of gel. I used a white Essie "gel" polish that does not require a UV light (applying the powder when the polish was almost dry). It worked perfectly fine until I tried to use a top coat. The top coat reverted the chrome look back into just sparkles. So I reapplied the powder to the single nail I put top coat on and just opted to not use a top coat at all. I don't know if not using a top coat will cause the powder to fade, but so far I've washed my hands, used cuticle oil and lotion and my manicure still looks great.

The media could not be loaded. Love this chrome powder. It is really pretty in all the ways you can wear it - chromed, like ice gel or cat-eye. Was also fun mixing it in with my gel! Recommend doing one nail at a time and curing before moving on to the next if going for a cat-eye so magnetizing another nail doesn’t change the prior nail. In the video I used one coat with it magnetized ice gel style and then the second coat was cat-eye.

This is not dipping powder. Also jars are so small, you will be lucky to do all nails. Avoid
