kids love it! And this is credit to Christopher William ...
Osbert is a lonely, genius, stuck in a series of unfortunate events around him and as a result, his life turns upside down. He breaks the rules in a drastic way that are unimaginable in an adult's world. However, kids love it! And this is credit to Christopher William Hill as an "Out Of The Box Writer". His books are so very original and interesting in a magical realism way. I have read OSBERT for my 5 and 7 year old daughters and they have loved every single page. The plot totally hooked us and we looked forward to reading a chapter every evening. I must say, I have enjoyed reading this book very much myself too. It's fantastical, it's raw, but at the same time very familiar and real. We all relate to Osbert in one way or the other. We feel his feelings, we feel his happiness and surrow, we smell what he smells and we even taste the things that he eats, especially the Cinnamon Apple Strudels!By the way, my girls know "The Pumpkin Boy" by heart, as I have read it for them over and over again. They think it is hilarious and love the gory details. A suggestion for Christopher:Please, please write a separate book on the Wolves' Tales. We can't wait to read more!

Osbert, the Avenger
An unusual book with an unexpectedly dark side to it. Quite different from the usual children's book and one I found imaginative and refreshing to read.
