Big difference in sound with a better bow!!
There are several things that contribute to the sound of a violin. The bow is a major contributing factor in creating a beautiful tone. This Fiddlerman bow has wonderful materials and superb craftsmanship. The hair is straight and smooth. The frog has beautiful finish and of course the Fiddlerman name inscribed upon it.If you are still using the fiberglass and hair bow that comes with most beginner outfits, go ahead and get this bow. Disappointment is only that you didn’t get it sooner. It comes packaged nicely in a well protected box. And arrives in-rosined.

Good, light bow.
Good tone. Nice light bow. My only issue was that the packaging was actually open when I received it. Carelessly open. A corner of the address label actually extended intro the open box. The bow was protected by the inner box, so it arrived undamaged.

Exceeded Expectations!
I was pleasantly surprised upon unpacking the carbon fiber/wood hybrid bow. It is a very nice well made bow. Feels Great and I prefer it to some higher priced Pernambuco bows I have. I would recommend this for beginners all day long. It's a solid bow at this price point. Fiddlershop has provided my with excellent service. I have purchased 4 bows from in in the last couple months...and I just placed an order today! Keep up the good work.

Stick broke due to poor construction
Would not recommend. I am a violinist and teacher of 30 years. I bought this bow to try it out to see if it would be one to recommend to students. After about a year the stick broke for no apparent reason, other than bad workmanship. It broke where the wood wrap meets around the inside of the tip. This bow was not dropped or otherwise mistreated, and was very lightly used by a professional. Don’t buy!

Works great.
Found this to be a decent bow for the money, was at a luthier's the other day, and we were trying to hear the difference between 3 different bows, and think it was up there, with the other cheaper bows that he sells.

Gift for my wife
Bought for my wife who is in late 60's and started taking fiddle lessons. Her teacher said the bow is good quality. She has been using it for a couple of years now and still works great.

Amazing upgrade
I'm a relative beginner on violin and have been playing non-stop for two months now with a pretty cheap beginner kit I purchased used. I wasn't sure how much difference a bow would make, but I'm hear to tell you this bow makes an AMAZING difference. Everything is so much easier and more fun to play now with this high quality bow. I need to go play some more right now.
