This wrap is so soft and heats well giving a moist heat. Much more useful than an electric heating pad that needs an outlet nearby. This heated quickly and stayed warm for a good long time....didn't time it. Odd smell....not horrible, sort of like hay. Would buy again and give as a gift.

It certainly heats up fine but loses it in about 10 minutes. If you need it for longer than that, you will need to reheat it more than once. One amusing point, my cat Clancy likes to sit on it when I'm done with it!

I’m very much into all-natural pain relief and rarely take any meds. At my age, I’m into comfort and this microwavable heating pad is the type of product I love. Years ago, I did have a slightly larger pad I would heat in the microwave. This wrap is very similar shape-wise but does have flaxseed, clay beads, and millet instead of rice. The fabric is soft and cushy on the outside with that mixture of grains / beads on the inside. The material is a soft, plush, textured plush microfiber. This pack cannot be laundered, but it can only spot clean it as needed.It doesn’t take long to heat it up, less than two minutes. As recommended, I heated it in 90-second increments the first time around. I found this wrap to be the perfect size to hold in my lap. Now, this is a small wrap so check those measurements. As with gel packs, never leave the room while heating it up. It’s just so easy to burn it by inadvertently hitting the incorrect time (I’ve done it). This wrap can also be used for cold therapy, but I much prefer the hot. Full directions for use are on a paper instructional sheet.Once I had the wrap heated up, as mentioned, I held it in my lap. It gives off a nice, hot, moist heat which is welcome on colder days. My husband has tried another one I have, but doesn’t prefer these wraps as much as I do. This wrap can get very, very hot so care should be taken when using it. One suggestion I’d make is that when heating the wrap is to place it on a clean, dry plate instead of putting it directly on the microwave carousel. I say this because it can inadvertently absorb any food residue on the carousel.

This is pretty great! I use moist heat in physical therapy, and this really does mimic it. It's a more penetrative heat, so it gets deep into your musculature. It's legitimately large enough to throw over your shoulder, and heavy enough to stay there too, which was surprising, as heating pads rarely are. My sister prefers electric heating pads, but my preference is this one by a mile. I don't have to fuss with a cord or a remote, It gets hotter than the electric one is capable of getting, it's super easy to fold up and store, I have the added option of freezing it for cold therapy, and to be honest, NOTHING can stand up to what's gained by having the heating pad be weighted! It feels like a warm hug pressing into you. It's comforting too, but beyond all that- it ACTUALLY LAYS AGAINST YOU without you having to hold it down! My electric heating pad kind of just hovers above my skin, and was way, way more expensive to boot. I find that even when I elect to use the plug-in one (because it's a little bigger), I throw this one on top of it to weigh it down.This gets my 100% whole-hearted recommendation. The only things that would make it better would be if it was a little bigger, had a removeable, washable cover, and if it used some aromatherapy as well, but that I intend to fix quite easily by just dripping some essential oil onto the material.

I really like this REVIX Microwave Heating Pad. It came sealed in plastic and in a little flip-top box. The cover is nice and soft (feels like some sort of fleece to me). The little embroidered snowflakes help to keep the fill beads and seeds distributed so they don't all bunch in one area. I heat mine for about 60 seconds on one side, then I turn it over and heat for 30 on the other side. (I have a microwave with a turntable, but I just do the turnover to be extra safe that it doesn't heat too much in one spot.) This stays warm for a good length of time, and is the perfect size for what I needed it for. One of my ears gets stuffy with congestion sometimes, especially in the spring allergy season, which I am experiencing right now. So I like to lie down and put this on top of my ear. This little pad is just the right size to heat the whole area well and also to stay in place. Sometimes I fold it in half and use it that way. That also keeps the center warmer, so when the outside starts to cool, I fold it the opposite direction and take advantage of the heat that's still in the center. An instruction card is included with this that says this can also be used for cold therapy if I put it in the freezer. There is no removable cover, so this can't be machine washed, just spot-cleaned.

Due to the way the channel chambers are separated the thickness stays consistent throughout which is really nice. You don't have to worry about the seeds bunching up in the lowest part and it instead spreads heat more consistently. It's not overly thick which makes it work well on hands and arms too. Very pleased with the size and weight as a heating pad it's versatile.Heated for a minute thirty seconds and it was about perfect temperature off my microwave. The seeds released some moisture from heating the first time but that wasn't a bad thing. The smell from the seeds is nice and there is no added smell which prevents it from being overwhelming.Overall very satisfied with it. It's nice for relaxing with it for 20 minutes when I need it.

Received today. Very nice packaging. Item was shrink wrapped inside box. Very cozy material-light grey. Heated well in microwave. The only issue is that it is not quite long enough. Rather than a wrap around type, it is a shorter version, albeit quite capable of heating a small area.
