Nice Easy Boats to Build
The models are straightforward and not over complicated, great for the kids who can fold without supervision. Some models are difficult to make them float, such as the aircraft carrier, but my son worked it out by figuring out the ballast. This book allows young folders to think for themselves, make fun boats and experiment with different materials for longevity on the water.

A bit difficult to understand some instructions

Some clever and original designs
My reservation is about the instructions which are really quite difficult to follow; sometimes they are not on the right page and sometimes there are gaps.

Awesome variety of models
Lots of different types of origami boats for kids but even as a parent I can follow the diagrams, very straightforward instructions. And they float too! The ocean liner was tricky but we made a big one and it looks good. Only a couple of models use cutting, most are folded from one piece of paper, some having additional sail sections. Most dummies can make the models in this book, I know I can!

Could be Good for Making Floating Boats
Much as I hate to give a less than stellar review, I did not find this origami book particularly useful. Someone who intends to make the models from waterproof paper and sail them might be more pleased with it. (I was hoping for battleships, or at least a pyramid-masted guided missile destroyer.)My specific maladjustment was use of A4 rather than square paper for several of the more interesting models - I had to make some with those proportions from letter-size to make ends meet, as it were. I also had some difficulty with the diagrams and instructions, but that may be a personal lack of vision. However, I usually don't have much trouble with standard diagrams and folding instructions.

Do not buy
This is among the worst purchases I have ever made. To start, all but two of the boasts use tape and scissors. The instructions are vague and hard to follow, since the first page of a step are the words, and the second page are diagrams. I am definitely not a beginning folder, but I have tried to fold all of these, and none of them seem to work. I end up with the same shape, but it is flat, turning it into a boat is impossible. I always end up not being able to give it any sort of curve. Even if i did get there, none of them would float, even with waxed paper, as there are holes and slits in the bottom. This was a total disappointment.
