These pieces are quite unique! Unique from each other and from other puzzles as well - look at my photos! I prefer unique puzzle pieces, so this is great for me - makes it fun. The colors are printed brightly and clearly.I don't *love* the sturdiness of the puzzle board. It is sturdy, but if you are too rough pulling apart pieces that get stuck together in the box, you really need to be careful, or you'll twist, bend, and/or delaminate the pieces in the process. Because of that observation, I completely agree with the 14+ age suggestion. A young, more impulsive and impatient kid would damage the pieces that stick together - or when they've tried two pieces together that aren't a match and hastily take them apart out of frustration.While the pieces do go together easily and confidently (i.e. you're confident you've put the correct pieces together) they do have a tiny bit of wiggle and play once they are together. This also, however, makes them easier to take apart when that time comes.... so that's a toss-up of benefit vs criticism.Overall, I'm very pleased with the puzzle and look forward to the Christmas season very much! It's a quality puzzle for under $20.... I can definitely recommend it to any puzzle lover.

So I read another reviewer say these were super thin pieces and they'd fall apart if you moved them, so I was a little hesitant when I opened this up.However, the fears were unfounded. I don't know if the manufacturer shipped out some cheap ones and then saw the review and upgraded the puzzle, but it's good thick pieces now (well, not thick, they're just regular thickness).The only bad part about this puzzle is it will take a long time to put together! I only tackled one 1,000 piece puzzle before, and I had forgotten just how many pieces there are. So, don't be afraid to get this one, it's just a regular puzzle and is sure to be fun for the puzzle-maniacs out there.

I like the shape of the pieces and it’s a nice picture. This puzzle does not stay together, you can’t touch it or move a piece to straighten it out or a couple of pieces to slide in position because it comes apart. Very frustrating and I will never buy a puzzle by this manufacturer again. I think this is caused due to the thinness of the pieces. They also fit on the loose side.

Beautiful puzzle, but very frustrating when the pieces would not stay together and I did not finish the puzzle.

Neighborhood Christmas Jigsaw Puzzle 1000 Piece by Vermont Christmas Company Is well made. Nicely printed no distortion. Pieces fit well together. Colorful beautiful image. Nicely cut. I have done many puzzles by Vermont Christmas Company and this one did Not disappoint. I always choose my puzzles by if I like the image. This image is beautiful and the yellow house almost reminds me of Ralphies. I will enjoy working this puzzle immensely but I’m waiting for some snow to get in winter mood. If you have never done a Vermont Christmas Company puzzle what are you waiting for ? This would also make a nice gift ! Truly a 5 ⭐️ puzzle !

I was eager to try this puzzle maker as Vermont is becoming a puzzle mecca. It did not disappoint. Nice clear, colorful image. Perfect for getting into the holiday spirit (even though it is Sept). The pieces were standard thickness and fit well. Good puzzle and looking forward to doing more puzzles from this maker.

The pieces are well defined and the puzzle fit together nicely. There are 1,000 pieces in the puzzle. It stays put together as you build the puzzle and is not so difficult that is would be frustrating. A great puzzle to either build yourself or it would make a wonderful present! I highly recommend this puzzle for you!

I like the random piece shapes this brand offers, unfortunately the downside is that sometimes the puzzle goes together well and sometimes it means the puzzle doesn't hold together well. Some areas yare great, others crumble if moved, and some don't really link together fully at all.
