Great substitute for the real thing!
I am having to be on a gluten free low carb diet. These are the first pastas that I've tasted that were actually good. They absorb the flavor of whatever sauce that you use. The texture is a bit chewier than pasta, but I can certainly live with these.

Yucky mouth feel
The Liviva Organic Penne Shirataki Pasta with oat fiber is very rubbery. Followed directions to the letter on first package. Husband refused to eat. Fixed second package after watching various YouTube videos. Pan fried dried, then added in bacon grease. Still rubbery. Similar to well overcooked calamari. The Livia Organic Rice Shaped Shirataki has been very good. Doing KETO, so it's NOT RICE, but, pretty close substitute.

Okay, not as great as the spaghetti version.
I don't like the penne as much as the spaghetti and fettuccine versions. Seems a bit rubbery because of the thickness. I'm going to try to make baked penne and see how that is.

Texture closer to traditional pasta
I have tried many low carb pastas over the past year. This one is the closest I have found. While the texture is still a little squeeky on the teeth, the flavor is very acceptable, and after rinsing there is no discernible smell. I think the addition of oat fiber makes it.

Thick and chewy
I did not like the texture of these. They are thick and chewy.

Fantastic. Filling, Low Calorie, Low Carb.
I drained and microwaved them for 7 minutes by themselves to make them a bit more firm. then added to it greens and beans, chili powder, onions, etc. delicious.

Disappointed!!
I normally like this brand and enjoy the spaghetti and fettuccine noodles, but the penne shape was more like a thick worm and like rubber when trying to chew! I got the case thinking it would be the same as the other noodles! Bad mistake!
