Shouldn't be expected to compete with a full size OEM antenna. It's too small for that.

I haven't had any issues getting stations but to be honest I do not listen to the radio frequently enough to know if it is in and out of reception. When installing it was kind of a hassle to find the right screw due to the directions not being very clear. It has been a while since I purchased but the antenna has started to fade and discolor with being in the elements.

I bought this for my fiance's truck for Christmas and right after Christmas he bought a new one and we are able to put it on there and it sucks picking up radio reception you cannot get radio reception if you go into a wooded area or if you're like going down and stretch a road that's kind of more rural you lose your radio completely and it's just static but it does look great on the truck and it was very easy to install

So for $15 I took the gamble…and man was I surprised. This thing works great. Yes it’s a shorty antenna, yes it’s not as great as the super long ones, but my truck came with a broke antenna mast (dumb Dodge Ram design) and so I had nothing to lose. I have since purchased another for my Tacoma and love both of them. The black anodizing is still going strong after 6 months!

Looks great.However, I needed to wash my windshield had to lean over the hood to reach the middle of it. Put a little bit of pressure on the antenna and the screw broke down deep into the antenna base. Looking at it, I think it might be plastic coated with a thin coat of metal (brass/copper?). Now I have the screw stuck in the antenna base and I'm going to have to figure out a way to extract it, or replace the whole antenna base.Would not recommend.

Bought this item awhile back. Worked great until I went to a car wash. Wash crew (and I) forgot to take it off as it went through the spinners and it snapped off at the brass connector. Soft brass will always lose to original steel conector. Tried to find and order a replacement but no luck. Seller response by sending me out the part I needed. Can’t say anything else except great customer service. The m giving it five stars for service and product.
