Hilltop Energy Gels - Natural Honey Energy Gel - Original - 12x30g

These are my favourite energy gels. Honey based giving great energy boost. Excellent quality, smooth texture and easy to swallow even on the longest of ultras. Great tasting and effective. Over all great value for money and highly recommended

I brought this for my sister in law a committed long distance runner who was complaining that the only energy gels available seem to be full of rubbish ingredients. This one is completely natural and she says it tastes great and gave her just the boost she needs at 20 miles (!! I keep telling her that’s what cars are for!!) she particularly liked that it was easy to carry and hasn’t added unnecessary weight. She also adds it to water and says it tastes great.

Tried them today, a strange texture and taste but if there’s no nasties in the ingredients I can cope with them. Extreme sup racing so we’re eating healthy flapjack along with the gels so hard to tell if the add any benefit but we’ll keep taking them 👍

I was really looking forward to using this product on my long cycles during training as it is natural and doesn’t have loads of added ingredients like the other gels but I felt quite nauseous trying to get this down. The taste is terrible and tastes quite metallic and which was concerning. Really disappointed!

I enjoyed these gels! They gave a nice boost and taste delicious. Perfect for shorter efforts.. I took these to supplement with on a 16hr cycle and as with most gels (I expect) got a bit sickly after 4 or 5 gels and all the fatigue that came with. Would recommend these gels to friends as a treat from the sports gels

These taste great, literally just like honey out the jar. They even sometimes have little bits of honey comb in them, makes me extra happy when I get one of those while 18miles into a run. I will say the only negative is they are a thick texture as you would imagine honey to be I guess, so having a drink with them is a good shout.

Easy to consume, brilliant taste (only if you like honey) and feels like it does exactly what it needs to.I suppose if I was being super critical, it may be a bit thick (because it’s honey), but that’s a personal preference.Overall I love it!

Thicker and sweeter than most of the previous gels I have tried. And because of the small opening I found it difficult to consume on the move when cycling.
