Love them!
All the other reviews speak the truth - there is a fishy smell upon opening, but this can be rinsed away within around a minute, and the texture is not like traditional pasta, rice, or noodles. However, they appear to me to be closer to vegetables in texture (makes sense since that's what they're made of) than rubbery foods like squid. I find the texture least disagreeable when I have fried the product for a good 5 minutes to dry out some of the water content. I also mixed the fettucine or spaghetti with the same amount of courgetti and then the texture is entirely unnoticable to me! They need some good strong flavours as there is no natural taste (I enjoy them with chilli pesto, or soy sauce & sesame oil for noodles), but when you need a big bowl of something that feels like hearty food (like on a 5:2 fast day, for example) but without the calorie price tag, I love them!Almost zero calories comes with a price and I think mindset is everything with these products - if you can get past the fact that they look like noodles and alter your expectations, you might just like them!

Get past the aroma it’s a good kid to friendly product that is virtually no carb low in calories
Ok some honesty here initially when you fist open any of these eat water rice noodles or pasta you are introduced to a slightly fishy smell so best to rinse them before cooking it microwave The good news is they don’t taste fishy in fact they don’t taste of anything , therefore you may want to flavour but as an accompaniment to traditional dishes you don’t need to. Plusses are these are low calorie and very low carb they allow you to eat the same fish as the family if your eating together and keep your Keto diet I am used to the product now aroma as well and it is very useful in maintaining a keto friendly diet, simple to prepare and cook/ heat up I recommend it for those that are on Keto for weight loss it does help give you that fill you would normally get from carb foods.

Could be better
Texture isn't great, and it has a fish smell. Needs rinsing thoroughly beforehand. Bland taste which is good and it does the job of filling you up to reduce calorie intake. The rice and the noodles and the best in my opinion - the texture of the other shapes aren't great

You need to cook it with highly flavoured things!
So, it's 9kcal per 100g, don't expect it to taste like a homemade fresh pasta from your favourite local Italian restaurant. The pasta/noodle shapes are a rather "loose" in their description (the "penne" looks nothing like any penne shape I've ever seen). BUT it is nowhere near as bad as I expected. I read the previous reviews so (thankfully), was totally expecting the awful fishy smell. A very long rinse under the tap removed this. I boiled it for about 1.5 minutes with a lot of fresh black pepper and some garlic. It really took on the flavour of both of these so I will be experimenting with more flavours, Indian spices, Thai etc. - I imagine Chinese 5 spice in the water when cooking the noodle version could be a winner. After draining, I stirred in 1/3 pot of fresh pasta sauce from Waitrose (Chargrilled Veg and Olives). It tasted pretty good (with lots more black pepper on top). So, why 5 stars?? Well, I've just started WeightWatchers and this gave me a huge bowl of filling, pretty tasty food for just 3 SmartPoints (I get 30 a day, a regular bowl of pasta of an equivalent size would have been over half my daily allowance). If you look at calories, I just had a huge bowl of filling food for around 100 calories, that has to be pretty remarkable in anyones book.

Rinse a few times and soak for a little bit too
I previously tried both this version an the new no smell version and they are completely different. But I ordered these as doing keto so less carbs the better, and they definitely take some getting used to, I eat with my nose and can always smell the fishy smell, the texture is a little too soft and gooey for my liking too. Have always eaten brown pasta which is little tougher then white pasta so not this is the complete other end of the spectrum. Yet to try the rice but I’m gonna assume it’s same as pasta and noodles. Maybe try the single box before buying the large multipack

My "go to" with a spicy sauce......
These are my "go to" when I am trying to control my calorie intake and/or keep my carbs at a minimum. I find that I only need half a packet at each meal so when I cook I prepare two meals and have some for another day (I live alone), or I freeze the second meal for eating in the future.
